Plain terms for using the PTT Talkie app and this website. By installing the app or using the site you accept them.
Using the app
What you may do
Install PTT Talkie on devices you own or are responsible for, create channels and talk with the people you invite. The app is provided for personal and internal business communication.
What you may not do
Do not use the service to break the law, to harass or threaten anyone, to record people without the consent the law where you are requires, or to interfere with the service or with other people's channels.
Your channels, your responsibility
Channel numbers and passwords are chosen by users. Keep the password to yourself: anyone who knows it can join the channel. You are responsible for who you tell.
Age
The app is intended for use by adults and by people old enough to agree to these terms where they live.
The software
Distributed directly
The app is currently distributed as an APK from this website rather than through an app store. Android will warn you the first time you install it. You install it on your own judgement, having checked the published checksum.
No warranty
The app and this website are provided as they are. Nothing here promises that the service will always be available, that a message will always arrive, or that a build is free of defects.
Updates
New builds are published when they are ready. You are not obliged to install them, but older builds may stop working if the service they depend on changes.
Changes to the service
Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. Material changes are recorded in the changelog so that the release history stays honest.
Limits
What we are not liable for
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using or being unable to use the app, including missed messages or interruptions in a channel.
Ending use
You may stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the app. A channel that you own may be removed if it is used in breach of these terms.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of business. The contact page carries the address to use for any question about them.
